NEXT MEETING
The May meeting will be hosted by Inspector Atwood and Insp. Greg McGee (U.S. Postal Inspection Service) at the South Boston Postal Annex on Dorchester Ave off Summer Street at 10 a.m. on May 27th. They have upgraded their FATS system which now uses cordless bluefire weapons. Greg advises the new weapons simulate recoil and no air hoses. They are running 2 SIG-Sauer P-229 DAK handguns which can be used simultaneously. There are new scenarios from what we have used in the past.
Parking is very limited. If possible, please car pool. If you use MapQuest, type in 249 Summer Street, South Boston, MA as the address. It will get you to the entrance to the Postal Annex.

_____________________________________
The Association is always looking for new topics and training to present to the membership. If you have a topic or training that you would like to present to the membership, please contact MLEFIAA Secretary Joe Picariello with the details and time frame. If you have suggestions on training you would like to see the Association present, don't hesitate to get in touch with one of the Executive Board members and pass along your thoughts. The suggestion should be realistic and appeal to the law enforcement firearms instructor or armorer. If you or your department has the facility to conduct the program, that increases the possibility of putting it on.
If any members would like to host one of our monthly seminars, please contact the Secretary by E-mail. We will be firming up our 2001-02 seminar schedule over the summer, so contact the Secretary soon. Usually, the hosting member will make a training presentation on a firearms related training topic as the main part of the seminar, so if you have a particular class or special topic you would like to present to your peers, let us know as soon as possible.
Your facility should have a conference room/classroom large enough to hold 20 - 30 people. If you have a range facility and wish to host a live fire training activity we need to know how large the range facilities (i.e. how many firing points and how long).
