Student Instructors in the MPTC 12 Day Basic (Level I) Firearms Instructor program are responsible for all information found on this webpage.
NOTE: This web page is maintained by the MPTC Firearms Training Steering Committee and is provided to implement the Distance Learning concept of the 12 Day Level I Firearms Instructor program. Instructor candidates will find required reference material on this site in addition to assigned reading and exams. It is the instructor candidates responsibility to download and (if necessary) print out the material as directed by the program lead instructor. All files will be in either Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Adobe PDF format.

FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR MANUAL Complete MPTC Firearms Instructor Manual for Level 1 instructors. This is your "textbook" for the 12 Day course.
DOCUMENTATION & RECORD KEEPING This is an excellent presentation on why it is important to keep accurate records and document department training. It also highlights the advantages of using an electronic format for record keeping.

SHOTGUN PROGRAM MATERIAL
MPTC SHOTGUN This is the 'classroom' portion of the Shotgun section of the training program. Instructor candidates shall read over this material the night before. Print out and complete the Shotgun quiz. You will be given the opportunity to review and revise your answers prior to submitting the quiz at the end of shotgun day.
