SHOTGUN PROGRAM MATERIAL
MPTC SHOTGUN This is the 'classroom' portion of the Shotgun section of the training program. Instructor candidates shall read over this material the night before. Print out and complete the Shotgun quiz. You will be given the opportunity to review and revise your answers prior to submitting the quiz at the end of shotgun day.
SHOTGUN / AMMO REQUIREMENTS
Instructor candidates are required to have a duty shotgun for this part of the program. It can be either semi-auto or pump action. Barrel length should be 20" or less for maneuverability on the range and it must be equipped with a sling. Daddy's "goose gun" won't work.
You will need 255 rounds of shotgun ammo - 80 slug for qualification and scored drills. The balance can be inexpensive target loads for manipulation drills. This does not count the 25 slug rounds required for pre-qualification.
